The boy rushes down the stairs. He waters the plants, to show them care. Then he’s off to the store to buy some bread! To share with his brother, when he wakes from bed. It’ll be a lovely morning, filled with jams and spreads.
The boy comes back to cook some eggs. They need some greens, he adds some veg. For fruit, an apple, skin bright, bright red.
The food is all ready, so he prepares the plates. Utensils too, so the things can be ate. Soon he’ll wake his brother, before it’s too late!
The little brother stumbles in, still half asleep. But he perks up, to his nose good smells reach. The boy is waiting with a big smile too. Little brother sits down, and begins to happily chew.
They finish their meal, and it’s off to school! The boy finds his brother’s books, helps him tie his shoes. They’re out the door, on the pavement they walk. Ready for the day, bellies fully stocked!
Very nice poetic writing.
